Meditation
Ancient yogis have been meditating in the East and Far East for thousands of years.  At last, the benefits of meditation are rapidly becoming fully recognised in the West - and include helping with stress, depression and anxiety, and improving concentration.

There is nothing mystical or 'out there' about meditating, although it can be challenging! Meditation is simply a state of concentrated awareness on one thing, such as the breath, or a candle flame.

I teach a drop-in meditation for relaxation class every Thursday lunch-time at the Triangle Club, Essex County County Council:

  • Thursday 12.20-1.05pm:  Meditation for Relaxation. An open class suitable for anyone interested in learning simple meditation and relaxation techniques to de-stress and unwind. £4 drop-in for non-members; £3.50 for Triangle Club members. Please wear loose, warm clothing.
          Where? The Triangle Club, Essex County Council, Duke Street.
